WAKIKI, HI. EARLY 70'S
KODALITH PRINT: In the late 1960's and early 1970's I was influenced by the impressionist painter George Surant, who lived in the late 1890's. His paintings appeared to be made up of many tiny dots, therefore giving his art a very grainy look. I began to experiment in the darkroom and came up with a combination of chemicals that caused Kodalith film to react differently than intented. The result was a very high contrast, very grainy and exceptionally sharp prints. Many layers of film were used to achieve the desired effect to perfect the working negatives. This is a very rare process that only suits certain images that I chose myself. I print these to order and sign and number on the border of the print. They are made to last a lifetime, enjoy!
