Rock and Roll Gallery marked its 25th anniversary in style, attending the celebration of The Doors’ 60th at the iconic Morrison Hotel Gallery inside the legendary Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles.
The walls felt alive Thursday night, buzzing with energy and familiar faces. Ringo Starr made a brief appearance, captured in a memorable moment with renowned photographer Henry Diltz — standing beneath a classic portrait Diltz once took of him.
The exhibit featured an incredible collection of classic Doors images, including never-before-seen shots by Diltz and Paul Ferrara — true gems for any Doors fan. Diltz, beloved and ever-popular, was like the mayor of the event, chatting with guests, posing for photos, and signing albums he famously shot—including Morrison Hotel, the namesake of the gallery.
Notables like photographers Alex Kluft and Katerina Benzova, fashion designer Henry Duarte, and My Rock Moment podcast host Amanda Morck mingled among industry insiders, discussing music, photography, and vintage Laurel Canyon style.
The love for The Doors was palpable. The place was packed, the vibe electric—just like the golden days of rock and roll. No one wanted the night to end.
